Learn how to configure Sizes and Values, Positions, Personnel categories, Document Categories, and Termination Reasons.

All fixed registers are available under Administration → Fixed Registers. You must have the System Administrator role to manage them.

Add Sizes and Values in Simployer Classic

Use Sizes and Values to add custom information categories to people. You must have the System Administrator role to configure the register.

  1. Go to Administration → Fixed Registers → Sizes and Values.
  2. Click the + icon to create a new value.
  3. Choose whether to use free text or predefined values:
    • For free text, leave Add values unchecked.
    • For a drop-down menu, select Add values and define the list of values.
  4. Choose whether employees can edit the value themselves. If you do not select this option, the employee's immediate manager or an administrator must enter the data. This may apply to information provided by the employer, such as the date a mobile phone or access card was issued.
  5. Save the value.

The values can then be entered under Sizes and Values on the person profile. Employees can add values only when they have permission. All created values are visible to the employee, even when the employee cannot edit them. The register is shared across the entire organization.

Administrators can retrieve the data in the Sizes and Values and Picklist People reports. Managers can retrieve data for their own departments.
