Learn how Simployer assigns indirect roles and what access and messages each role provides.
In addition to roles that you assign manually, Simployer has indirect roles. These roles are assigned automatically based on the organizational structure and actions in the system.

| Regular user | All registered users receive this role | Read and write access to all basic information about themselves. | Immediate manager | A person can have only one immediate manager. The role can be inherited from the department through the department manager or assigned directly to the person | Read and write access to information about their employees | Birthdays and anniversaries, expired employment, vacation requests, time off and leave requests, competence changes, expired competence, approval of travel and expenses as the approver, registered travel and expenses with another approver, registered sickness absence, daily reminders about overdue sickness absence tasks, employment contracts awaiting approval or approved, and contract signing if the manager is a signatory |
| Specified manager | Assigned directly to the person when the regular management structure should not apply. The specified manager remains assigned to the employee regardless of department changes | The same access as the immediate manager | The same messages as the immediate manager |
