Why isn’t the sick note automatically linked to a sick leave?

Learn when a digital sick note is linked automatically and what to do when no active sick leave exists.

A digital sick note is linked automatically to a person when both of these criteria are met:

• The person has a national ID number registered in their profile
• The person has an active sick leave

If the person does not have an active sick leave

The sick note is not linked automatically if the person does not have an active sick leave.

Go to Sick Leave → Sick Notes. The sick note appears there as unprocessed. Open the menu on the right side of the sick note and select Create a sick leave based on this sick note.

This creates a sick leave for the person and automatically links the sick note to the new sick leave.

When Simployer retrieves sick notes from Altinn

Simployer checks the Altinn inbox every hour, on the hour. If you move a sick note to the Altinn archive before Simployer has checked and retrieved it, Simployer will not find the sick note.

Confirm that Simployer has received the sick note before you archive it in Altinn.
