Sign a document digitally step by step

Modified on Thu, 1 Oct at 3:09 PM

Send a PDF document from an employee’s document folder for legally binding electronic signatures.

Digital signing is an add-on service that allows employees to sign documents digitally in their document folder. Contact Simployer to order the service.

Digital signing can support efficient and legally binding processes related to recruitment, policy changes, or employee conversations.

Send a document for digital signing

  1. Search for the employee and open the employee’s Documents tab.
  2. Find the document you want to sign. Select the action button, shown as a circle with three dots, on the far right of the document row. Then select E-signing.

Note: You can only send PDF documents for electronic signing.

  3. Select who will sign the document. If only the employee will sign, select Save without searching for a Document signer. Use the Document signer field only when two parties must sign the document. The system supports one or two signers.
  4. Select the signing order if the parties must sign the document in a specific order. For example, the employee can sign first, followed by the manager.

What happens when all parties have signed the document?

  • The document is marked as complete
  • The signing history is logged
  • The document can be saved and archived according to your internal procedures
