How do I manage my notification preferences in Simployer One?
What are notification preferences?
Notification preferences let you decide which notifications you receive and where you receive them.
Notification preferences are personal. Changing your notification preferences only affects your own user account. It does not change notification settings for other users in your organization.
By default, all available notifications are enabled for every available channel (Email, Slack, Teams and Push) for every user.
How do I manage my notification preferences?
- Click on your profile (your initials) up in the right corner.
- A drop down list should appear.
- Select "Notifications".
- If you see the message "You are using the default notification settings", click Customize notifications. The list of notifications is displayed.
- Find the notification you want to change.
- Choose how you want to receive the notification: Email, Slack, Teams (Microsoft Teams) or Push.
- Enable or disable the notification for each channel as needed.
To turn a channel on or off for all notifications at once, use the checkbox in the Default value row at the top of the list.
Note
Your changes are saved automatically. Not every channel is available for every notification. For example, many notifications can only be sent by email. Channels that are not available for a notification are shown as greyed-out checkboxes.
How do I go back to the default settings?
If you have customized your notifications and want to undo your changes, click Use default settings at the top of the Notifications page. Your settings are reset immediately, without a confirmation step.
Which notifications can I manage?
Notification preferences are grouped by feature. Available categories include:
- Time off
- Sick leave
- Reviews
- Workflows
- Timesheets
- Checklists
- Account
- Conversations
- Others
Important
New notification types may be added as Simployer One evolves. The Notifications page always displays the notification types available for your environment.

How do I undo my changes?
Click Use default settings on the Notifications page to reset all your notification changes to the default settings.
