Frequently Asked Questions Visma.net

Q: How often does the sync run?

A: The sync can either be scheduled or manual. The scheduled sync can run daily or on specific days based on choice during integration setup. It runs on the morning of selected days.

Q: What happens if I fix missing data after an employee was skipped?

A: The next sync will pick up the employee once all required data is complete.

Q: What if an employee's rate changes?

A: Create a new employment record in Simployer One with the new rate and effective date. The integration will add it as a new entry of part time factor in Visma's Position and update the history of existing entry.

Q: What happens to old employment records?

A: Employments with end dates in the past are not synced as they're considered inactive. However, their history is preserved in Visma if they were previously synced.

Q: Why does Visma show different salary fields than what I entered?

A: Visma automatically calculates all three salary types (monthly/hourly/yearly) from whichever one is provided. This is normal behavior. The integration ensures the correct primary field is updated based on your payout period. So if the selected period is Annual, then sync will only update the Yearly Salary in Visma, other fields are calculated by Vismanet.

Q: Can customers change phone numbers or emails directly in Visma?

A: Business phones and emails will be synced from Simployer One. However, if customers add Private phone numbers, or Private emails directly in Visma, those will be preserved and not overwritten.

Q: What about employee offboarding/termination? (In Progress)

A: Position end dates are not yet implemented. This feature is planned for future development.
